Custom CIP Return Pump
This is a custom CIP return pump setup. We created this configuration by adding a self-priming kit to a standard C+216 portable centrifugal pump assembly.
Once the system is filled with liquid, the top tank retains enough fluid to keep the pump primed. In a remote CIP system, one pump (the CIP supply pump) sends the cleaning solution to the tank being cleaned, while the other (the CIP return pump) returns the solution to the CIP system. Without a self-priming setup, air can enter the return line, causing the pump to lose prime or become air-locked.
This setup offers a practical and cost-effective way to achieve CIP return functionality using a standard centrifugal pump. It's also great for applications where you don't want to lose prime, such as emptying multiple totes of liquid, alcohol, or flavourings.
